Yard Waste Dumpster FAQ — Colorado Springs, Monument & El Paso County
From spring cleanups in Colorado Springs to scrub oak mitigation in Monument and lot clearing in Black Forest, here are the local questions we hear most. Roll-off dumpsters start at $300 for a 3-day rental with delivery and pickup included.
What size dumpster do I need for yard waste in Colorado Springs?
Most Colorado Springs yard cleanups fit a 10-yard ($300, 1 ton included) or 20-yard ($350, 2 tons). Large tree removals or full-lot clearing in Black Forest or Falcon usually need a 30-yard.
Can I put sod, dirt or rock in a yard waste dumpster?
Yes, but they are heavy. Sod, soil and rock fill weight limits fast, so use a 10-yard and fill it only partway. Call first so we can quote the weight.
Do you rent dumpsters for wildfire mitigation in Monument and Black Forest?
Yes. Monument, Palmer Lake, Woodmoor and Black Forest homeowners rent 20- and 30-yard dumpsters for scrub oak, pine and ladder-fuel clearing to create defensible space.
Do I need a permit for a dumpster in El Paso County?
No permit is needed when the dumpster sits on your driveway or private property. Street placement in Colorado Springs city limits may require a right-of-way permit.
Will a dumpster damage my driveway?
Our roll-offs use driveway-friendly rubber wheels, and we can place boards under them on request.
What are HOA rules for dumpsters in Monument, Flying Horse and Cordera?
Many HOAs allow a short rental on the driveway. Our 3-day rental fits most HOA limits — check your covenants if you need longer.
What yard waste is not allowed?
No paint, chemicals, pesticides, fuel, tires or treated railroad ties. Branches, leaves, brush, stumps (cut to size), sod and fencing are fine.
How fast can you deliver in El Paso County?
Usually next-day across Colorado Springs, Monument, Falcon, Peyton, Fountain and Security-Widefield, often same-day when available.
