Why yard waste sizing is different
Yard debris ranges from light (branches, leaves) to extremely heavy (sod, dirt, river rock). The bin you'd use for a light pruning job is the wrong bin for a sod tear-out.
Pick by material
- Branches, brush, leaves: 10-yard or 20-yard, volume is the limit
- Sod removal: 10-yard, weight is the limit
- Dirt and rock: 10-yard, weight is the limit (consider a dedicated dirt bin)
- Mixed yard + landscape demo (timbers, edging, fence): 20-yard
What stays out
- Tree stumps over 24" diameter — call us first
- Yard waste mixed with paint, fertilizer, or treated chemicals
- Old fence boards with hazardous treatment in some counties
Loading tip for branches
Branches stack like air. Break or chop long pieces down to under 4 ft so they pack tight. You can fit roughly twice as much that way.
